Job Description

Main Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Regional CFO and functionally to the Global Head of Tax in Paris, the role will be in responsible for the regional monitoring of all tax related issues for the Asia Pacific area.

There are two main pillars to the role : the management of tax issues of Natixis CIB entities in the region, and the provision of tax advice and support to the CIB business lines

  • Identify key tax issues and provide tax advice to the entities located in APAC
  • Oversight and review of the tax returns of Natixis entities in APAC
  • Provide tax assistance to the local Heads of Finance and tax guidance for all tax audits
  • Oversight of regional transfer pricing documentation and related tax filings, and the provision of advice on transfer pricing matters, including the maintenance of regional inter-entity agreements
  • Oversight of FATCA and CRS processes and annual filings
  • Identification, monitoring and mitigation of tax risk
  • Advise on potential risk implications in structuring investments, new transactions and new product development
  • Provide tax advice to local and global business units (for Investment Committee and New Products Committee) and on strategic projects
  • Monitoring of and adaption to changes to regional tax legislation, raising awareness of relevant tax matters to staff and training where required.
  • Maintenance of good relationships vis-à-vis external stakeholders and engagement with industry forums to represent the interests of Natixis
  • Management of relationships with external tax advisors
  • Setting and enforcing tax policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws.
  • Work closely with the Head Office Tax Department on all related tax related issues
  • Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience

    Required Skills :

  • 10 years+ relevant experience
  • Relevant degree or professional tax or accounting qualification
  • Subject matter expert with good understanding of banking activities and products
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with business lines and support functions, across functions and geographies
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in written form, and capacity to adapt his / her communication to various audiences and levels in the organization
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Sense of accountability and ownership
