Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Deliver business value as quickly and as safely as possible
  • Value Creation Build excellent relationships with Product, Product Delivery and Operations teams to help create a one team approach to planning and delivery Ensure there is a clear vision, target state architecture and roadmap on how this will be delivered over a 1-5-year period, breaking focus down into short, medium and long term taking business vision as input Plans and manages implementation to ensure business benefits are realised and that the transition from current state to target state is smooth Identifies and removes barriers to success.
  • Always acts in the HSBC’s best interests and willing to openly discuss potentially difficult topics Promotes pace and energy within the team and leads by example Ensures deliverables are accepted, with formal retrospectives to assess stakeholder satisfaction and capture key learns, and feed this back into ways of working Ensure delivery priorities and execution of delivery are aligned with business determined priorities Embrace digital disruption within Custody products and identify technology opportunities to get ahead of the market

  • Operational Performance Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimises the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk Anticipates and identifies risks / issues and oversees their active management, following internal standards and best-practice Provides timely reports on status, risks and issues Promotes agile transformation and deployment methodologies, and helps with adoption of moving from Project to Product , along with Product, Product Delivery and Operations peers Promotes and takes accountability for quality;
  • identifies opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions Ensures adherence to quality assurance processes, standards, and methodologies

  • Capability and People Development Identifies and manages resource requirements that will build effective multi-disciplinary teams Acts as a role model, encouraging collaboration and team work.
  • Promotes the Group values and strategy Maintains a strong focus on people development and ensure team receive necessary training, support and evolution to future skills Provides regular constructive feedback and coaching to individuals to support their development and career progression Promote a positive work culture based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity Inspire confidence in the future vision and generate excitement, enthusiasm and commitment Promote an environment of inclusion, diversity, collaboration and trust within the Group

    Requirements

  • Direct experience of mobilising and managing change and / or technology in a Global Investment Banking environment
  • Strong business analysis, project management and / or technical implementation, and experience of delivering complex, global, business-critical projects and / or systems at pace
  • Experience of rolling out vendor platforms, and integrating vendor platforms on complex business lines / functions will be useful
  • Ability to make key strategic recommendations that are pragmatic and grounded in practical solutions
  • Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
  • Strong people and team management experience
  • Experience of delivering technology modernisation (e.g. monolith to microservices)
