Role Responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our technology team and lead cross-functionally to deliver initiatives, projects and products that will appropriate our current business needs and future business growth.

The person will be working closely with the business to define product features and define milestone and agenda. Preferably the person will have experience delivering and iterating successful software products.

Experience or exposure in cloud technologies such as AWS, CGP or Azure are highly preferable.

For a technical product, project or initiative, define and manage the roadmap, milestones, and dependencies with broader strategic priorities in mind

Prioritize initiatives appropriately, weighing trade-offs that must be made

Work with internal and external customers to understand needs, define features, write product specifications, iterate on feedback, help write test plans with QA, manage the backlog, and ultimately ship products / features in a timely manner

Collaborate with engineering, architects, design, and QA to foster strong team dynamics

Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet org-wide goals

Communicates effectively across the organisation, including leadership, to ensure the product road map is aligned with business objectives

Work relentlessly to make sure your team is focusing on the right things, while not spreading to thin

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Solid experience as a product owner or programme manager
  • Strong experience with Agile / SAFe framework
  • Proven track record delivering and iterating on successful software products
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Technical fluency with experience leading diverse stakeholders at all levels
  • Know how to inspire, motivate, influence and support team members and stakeholders to get things done
  • Comfortable facilitating planning and decision making across several teams
  • Able to translate you and your team’s knowledge and experience to a strategy and prioritised backlog
  • Experience with or exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • You possess commercial acumen, can read P&L, and able to articulate opportunity vs threats, cost vs benefits, etc
  • Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (or above) in Business Administration / Computer Science / Engineering or similar
  • Solid experience shipping and iterating on successful software products at scale
  • Certification (PMP, SCRUM, PRINCE etc) Scrum or Agile preferred
  • Experience with AWS is a plus
  • Experience with Virtual / Neo Bank / FinTech is a plus
