We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Products.
Define and deliver Product Strategy implementation across the Company.
Develop a strategy which takes into account the diversity of segments and channels through the design of products fit for segment and sales process
Lead Country team to execute on-going product development, design, pricing, profit testing, management, monitoring of metrics and agreed risk capital to ensure the group’s risk appetite and financial targets are delivered
Responsible for the 1st Line of Defence in respect of manufacturing activity : Responsible for the Pricing (in both deterministic and economic framework), Insurance Risk management of all products to comply with Risk Appetite, Profitability target and Capital plan, responsible for the Operational Risk of his / her activity
Responsible for the managing of the different existing products and identifying / launching initiatives to monitor risks / FVE and within market to drive sales, penetration, and PBT.
Manage day-to-day product management responsibilities and actions including GL16 annual statements and re-projection letters, tranche levels and appetites, fund switches etc.
Work closely with CIO to ensure, when appropriate, the adequate Asset mix and hedging strategy to be agreed by the ALCO
Work collaboratively and effectively with 2nd Line of Defence to strengthen our control and defence mechanism
Source and agree required GI product solutions via the EDA Partner as agreed with the Head of Partnerships
Work with Customer and Distribution roles to support multi-channel as required in terms of products.
Coordinate product planning, performance monitoring and reporting requirements with Global team
Work with COO, customer strategy and distribution to define for each product the required insurance process to support insurance product solutions relative to each customer segment to ensure that the product features are fit for each considered channel
Contribute to Annual Operating Plan targets by setting - and managing to - clear goals and metrics in coordination with Finance and Planning
Responsible for maintaining Market Intelligence to understand Market trend and Competitor’s Innovation in products
Be creative to deliver solution in anticipation of market level customer needs / trends for Insurance
Meet all regulatory and HSBC global standards requirements related to products.
Degree graduate with multiple years of experience in product development, risk management from an insurance capacity
Proven record in innovation and finding solutions, exposure to Market consistent capital framework
Solid P&L experience and proven record in managing cross-functional teams
Results orientated with proven track record, self-directed, change leader, high energy and strong execution capabilities
Bottom line orientated, Strategic thinker with strong customer centric, analytical and innovation mind set
Strong communication skills, good team player and stakeholder management
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
