JOB PURPOSE / ROLE
To manage, investigation, evaluate coverage and liability, negotiate, handle and settle all and any claim up to the authority limit.
To manage in all respects, form initial notification to eventual settlement and possible recovery within the authority limit and in accordance with the company’s policies and procedure as set out in the Claims Manual.
To report to and communicate with Senior Claims Officer, Assistant Claims Manager or Claims Manager in all respect of claims in excess of the authority limit.
To assist in project and task led by Assistant Claims Manager as requested by Claims Manager from time to time.
To verify policy coverage for claims and other support functions.
Setting claims reserve in accordance with policies & procedure as set out in the Claims Manual.
To examine the claims documents for completeness of information and requirement. Follow up on the submission of claims documents in accordance with company’s policies and procedure.
To advise claimants of claims process, handle minor, non-questionable liability claims and resolves minor complaints.
To conduct inquiries on contestable claims. Gathering pertinent information on doubtful or questionable claims and referring to Senior Claims Officer, Assistant Claims Manager or Claims Manager.
Attending requests and inquires of claimants regarding the processing and settlement of claims.
Preparing claims statistical information for management.
To pursue all avenues of recovery including timely recovery of deductibles form insured and manage subrogation activities.
KEY REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Degree holder or in possession of Insurance Professional Designations / Qualifications
1-2 years’ experience or with knowledge of claims handling concepts, procedures and techniques including coverage issues
Proficiency in MS Office
Good command in written and oral English
