The Global Banking & Investor Solutions pole of Societe Generale group (GBIS) encompasses Corporate & Investment Banking, Private Banking, Asset Management and Investor Services (18,000 employees in 50 countries).

Societe Generale Asia-Pacific operates in 12 locations across the Asia Pacific region, employing close to 8,000 employees and centred on Societe Generale's Global Banking & Investor Solutions pole (GBIS).

HR Business Partners are at the heart of each business line’s strategy. Based in Hong Kong, this position is part of the Regional HR Business Partners team that covers Global Markets, Asia Pacific.

Under the leadership of the senior person in charge of this perimeter, you will be involved in all aspects of the employee life cycle.


  • Define and deliver appropriate HR action plans to support the Global Markets Department : this includes defining and implementing strategic workforce planning, and anticipating the skills necessary to the business to accompany their transformation,
  • Be a trusted advisor to manager and employees, and play an active role in their professional development and career evolution
  • Take part in the management of compensation and rewards for the perimeter
  • Act as a change agent on any HR, Cultural, and Organization Transformation initiatives
  • Ensure all employment regulations are well complied with by managers and employees
  • Together with the managers, participate in the process of promoting and developing talent and key people; make sure succession planning is in place for all key roles
  • Coordinate and mobilize the other HR experts whenever necessary to provide the most suitable response to employees and managers
  • Play an active role in providing market intelligence to business and HR stakeholders
  • Contribute actively to other cross-department HR projects
  • Qualifications

  • Client focused with strong communication skills
  • Solutions driven and ability to work autonomously
  • Process oriented, ability to challenge and simplify processes
  • HR experience : 3 to 5 years, or related HR experience, including a demonstrated ability to provide HR advisory support as described above.
  • Experience in the financial services industry would be a plus

  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnership with clients as well as HR colleagues
  • Thinks outside the box to bring new ideas
