GlobalRFP & DDQ Services has in excess of 30 staff in multiple locations acrossAsia, Europe and the United States, writing RFPs and other new business and existingclient submissions across a broad range of equity, fixed income, multi-

assetand alternative strategies for institutional and retail clients. It is adivision within the firm’s Global Business Services function.

Global RFP & DDQ services isresponsible for completing RFPs and other new business or client-relatedquestionnaires which accurately and favorably represent the organization, andits investment products and services, to prospective clients and theiradvisers.

The Senior RFP Specialist is an individual contributor role, withresponsibility for completing and / or coordinating RFPs and other newbusiness-

related questionnaires, as well as due diligence questionnaires forexisting clients, at medium and high levels of complexity.

The role is highlyinteractive and requires close teamwork with internal clients (Sales, ClientServices and Consultant Relations) and other business partners globally inorder to meet critical timelines and provide accurate and timely information topotential clients.

The role is instrumental in developing and enhancing clientand consultant relationships, through generating quality responses thatpositively impact next stage and win rates.

What are the ongoingresponsibilities of this position?

Response content development anddelivery :

  • Collaborate with colleagues and business partners, such as Distribution and Product Management to identify and interpret external client requirements.
  • May participate in initial strategy development meeting.

  • Draft, refine and finalize responses, which draw upon specific domain expertise, e.g. of technical (product) and / or distribution channel.
  • Support customization to external client requirements or specific questions, and draft new responses for peer review.
  • Discuss newly drafted content with business partners in Distribution and Product Management to deliver responses that position the organization and its capabilities accurately and meet external client requirements.
  • Identify potential workload challenges, based on the complexity of responses, and discuss potential solutions with management.
  • Review and approval :

  • Review own work to ensure consistency with best practice guidelines and that draft responses meet external client requirements and accurately position the organization.
  • Ensure all appropriate approval / review steps have been completed and documented for each submission with inputs from RFP team leaders, Product Management team and the Distribution team.
  • Review peer submissions to ensure consistency with best practice guidelines, and that draft responses meet external client requirements and accurately positions the organization.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to Associate Specialist / Specialist roles to aid understanding and professional development.
  • Building relationships :

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and business partners, particularly the distribution partners, to support developing external client relationships at the tactical level.
  • Build external client-segment specific knowledge, e.g., their requirements, investments, and preferences, etc.
  • Derive insights from relationships and external client and product knowledge to ensure new business responses accurately represent the organization.
  • Database content management :

  • Support the update of existing content, distinguishing between opportunity-specific customization and generic content.
  • Independently create original content or update existing content based on emerging requirements or new areas of external client focus, distinguishing between opportunity-
  • specific customization and generic content.

    Others :

  • Lead and / or participate in ongoing initiatives to support global business requirements, such as training, reporting, and tools or systems development and maintenance.
  • May actively propose / use automation tools, including supporting content refreshes and quality checks involving strategic vendors.
  • What qualifications, skillsand experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Demonstrated asset managementproposal experience, preferably in a global environment. Additional generalfinancial services or asset management experience is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years of workingexperience in the asset management industry.
  • Detailed understanding ofinstitutional and retail asset management, plus good knowledge of financialmarkets globally.
  • Broad product knowledge, acrossequity, fixed income, real estate and alternatives (or experience / education todevelop this knowledge quickly).
  • University degree or equivalentknowledge and experience.
  • CFA or other professional financialqualification or equivalent knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Good verbal and writtencommunication skills in English and Mandarin, plus strong proofreading skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively andprofessionally at all levels of seniority and across multiple cultures.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ability toadjust to changes in workflow and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-drivenenvironment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail,across all aspects of data, language and grammar, and general layout andpresentation.
  • Excellent project management andorganization skills, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word,Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and experience of content database software.
  • Team-player, tactful and diplomatic.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethicand genuine interest in learning.
  • Collaborative, participativeinterpersonal style, able to work constructively with colleagues across theentire global team.
