Role and Responsibilities
In this role, which includes a strong technical aspect, the individual will assist in driving the execution of short and long-
term financial plans for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Region including effective financial management, business performance evaluation, financial analysis and timely regional reporting.
The role will also be responsible in supporting the implementation of tight financial controls across all markets.
A critical component will be in the ability to partner with local finance and operations team locally and to work closely with the Corporate Finance function in London.
Commercial acumen is key for optimum business support of local markets and detailed involvement in local accounts is expected as part of the role.
Act as the key finance business partner for business unit
Drive business review of key contracts
Streamline the data gathering process to drive efficiencies in the compilation, reporting, and analysis of information to support strategic decision making
Develop and automate financial reporting tools to ensure consistent information sharing across the region
Drive and streamline management reporting across the region, provide support where needed to achieve and maintain consistency.
Work closely with Finance teams across all operating and support areas to develop, consolidate, analyze, and report actual results as well as budget & forecasts (P&L and Balance Sheet).
Prepare regional financial and management reporting; provide financial analysis and commentary for presentation to regional management;
analyze results and various performance metrics against budget, forecast and historical trends.
Support the business performance review process through continuous P&L monitoring, providing short and long range outlooks and identifying mitigating actions
Assist in the execution of plan and corrective action where needed, including development, implementation and improvement of processes and controls within Finance function as well as across departments
Provide ad-hoc operational & sensitivity analysis / evaluation on project basis
Ensure compliance to SOX and Accounting Framework
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline with good record
Chartered Accountant and Big 4 trained
Minimum 8 years of solid experience in listed / sizeable organizations
Good command of spoken and written English
Strong track record in RP&A including reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis
Proficient in computer literacy with excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
Hands on experience in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management is a plus
