  • Lead the team for product ratinganalyses, monitoring loss ratios by line of business / product, budgeting andtechnical and commercial pricing reviews across all P&C lines ofbusiness
  • Apply actuarial judgement ininterpreting and communicating results from actuarial pricing, and being ableto capture them in reports that documents observed trends in claims experience,forward-
  • looking pricing methods, projections in financial results

  • Ensure clear communication withproject management, IT & systems, product development, businessdevelopment,operations, claims, finance and actuarial reserving, on projectsthat involve (re)pricing to ensure business objectives are met, andimplementation is as agreed
  • Monitoring the performance of keylines of business to ensure goals in profitability are reviewed andcommunicated on a regular basis.
  • Play a strong role in translating repricingactions into measurable strategic financial targets

  • Responsible for the production,verification and explanation of observations made from reports
  • Guide the team in handling queriesrelating to data reconciliation, modelling techniques, interpretationof modelling results, observations made from monitoring reports, pricingmethods, and interpretation of pricing information
  • Managing priorities and projecttimeframes for pricing inputs
  • Maintain updated knowledge ofactuarial practices, particularly in latest pricing approaches, and a goodunderstanding of regulatory standards in actuarial valuation
  • University degree with a major inActuarial Science or Statistics or Mathematics
  • Qualified or part qualified fromInternationally recognised Actuarial Institutions such as UK, US, and Australia
  • At least 8 years in an actuarialposition in General Insurance, preferably in pricing
  • Experience in coaching actuarialstaff, in areas such as data manipulation, modelling, pricing andreport-writing
  • Proven record in applyingactuarial judgement in pricing work and leading discussions with business teams
  • Strong communication skills, bothwriting and verbal, particularly in relation to businessconsiderations and use of non-technical jargon
  • Possess strong problem solvingskills, ability to use judgement in determining solutions for wide range ofproblems, taking into consideration holistic operations of GI company
  • Good command of spoken and writtenEnglish
  • Advance in SAS and EMBLEM, as wellas MS Access / Excel / Word
