Role & Responsibilities :
Product Development and Technical Support & Governance
Technical review and inputs to product proposition and benchmark including benefits and wordings of new and refreshed products
Development and execution of product action plan for each year
Take the ownership of product approval process
Steer discussion with distribution channels, Claims, Underwriting, Medical Networks to align overall product strategy and implementation;
Establish best practice and tools for product development and performance monitoring;
Review reinsurance arrangement to achieve optimal strategic alignment, product proposition and profitability, and contribute to arrangements with health service and process providers;
Ensure adequate transparency of business performance through timely reports of technical and business decisions, and regular experience reviews.
Strive for health product innovations and feasibility study to enhance customer value propositions and business growth opportunities across distribution channels;
Maintain and further develop product knowledge base to facilitate knowledge sharing and idea generation;
Lead research and regular updates of public-private healthcare systems to identify opportunities and manage risks.
Performance Monitoring / Product Management
Keep track of product performance and identify timely actions
Issues resolution for existing products (e.g., clarification of T&Cs)
Steer insights from technical analyses to drive business actions to improve Health & Employee Benefits portfolio performance and achieve targets;
Recommend solutions to overcome challenges and risks;
Co-ordinate and work with other teams (e.g., Claims, Underwriting, Medical Networks) to drive recommended solutions;
Provide technical guidance to align reporting metrics for Health & Employee Benefits across Life / GI entities.
Participate in Strategy Planning and regular Business Reviews to drive Health & Employee Benefits strategy and actions to manage key business risks with internal and external stakeholders;
Develop talent through appropriate guidance, training and development initiatives.
Proven experience inproduct development in insurance industry, particularly in Health & EB;
Fellow Actuary - Goodtechnical foundation, with excellent working knowledge of actuarial techniques,issues and application to product pricing and experience review, and reportingis a plus
Strong working knowledgeof insurance product development process, including marketing, operation, distribution and systemsconsiderations;
Familiar with insurancecompany business and operations in a multi-national company setting;
Strong drive, able towork independently and take lead in designated projects with multiplestakeholders;
Excellent influencing,negotiating skills and communication capability, including the ability tointeract and partner with other team leaders to achieve objective.
