Job Description

There are four primary areas of focus :

Lead the Network Solutions Service

  • Create and maintain the strategy for the region while aligning with global services
  • Design and manage regional organizational structure
  • Develop and deploy the process and mechanism that measures NS contribution to business development and project performance goals
  • Design and implement tools and processes that enable the field to conduct light supply chain assessments and appropriate bid analysis
  • Provide regular and timely communication with branch, regional and global leadership
  • Support Business Development and Retention Efforts

  • Develop resources for use by sales, account management and product
  • Sponsor customer accounts with the goal to elevate relationship, loyalty and revenue generation
  • Support Bid Management program deployment
  • Provide supply chain thought leadership that enables the company to differentiate and add value to the overall Expeditors experience
  • Enable the design of solutions that satisfy the needs uncovered during the needs assessment
  • Participate in the process of selling Expeditors solutions
  • Manage Knowledge of Supply Chain Best Practices through

  • Develop and deploy relevant supply chain education for internal consumption and customers
  • Demonstrate deep supply chain domain knowledge
  • Learn and articulate the current and emerging requirements from the market for solutions
  • Support expansion of published resources on Insite
  • Manage and Develop the Regional Team

  • Create and manage career development plans for NS Leaders and engineers
  • Establish standards, review employee and project team performance and institute accountability
  • Discover new ways to optimize resources and streamlining processes
  • Promote regional consistency and sharing of best practices
  • Provide leadership and expertise with regards to project execution throughout project lifecycle
  • Manage departmental expenses in accordance with company’s goals and policies
  • Serve as a role model for compliance to Expeditors policies, procedures and cultural attributes
  • Qualifications

  • Degree / Masters in Industrial Engineering, Decision Science, or Operation Research.
  • Degree on mathematics, statistics, computer science or other relevant engineering disciplines could also be considered.
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in any kind of logistics and supply chain functions.
  • Relevant working experience in analytical or solutions development functions, and prior working experience in customer’s supply chain organization (ie NOT Logistics Company) are highly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a Must.
  • Travel occationally
