Senior Officer, Environmental, Energy & Waste Management

Job Duties :

  • Provide technical support for a wide range of environmental projects in relation to energy & carbon management, technology development, pollution control and cleaner production projects
  • Assist in delivery of environmental consultancy services to business and public sectors in Hong Kong and Mainland China, including but not limited to energy / carbon audits, energy conservation system designs and retrofits, environmental surveys and studies, sector specific environmental management schemes, etc.
  • Provide technical support to project managers on energy / carbon management projects
  • Handle enquiries and maintain contact with clients and contractors
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the unit
  • Need to travel to Mainland China to perform duties
  • Job Requirements :

  • Higher Diploma / Bachelor Degree from disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, electronics, environmental management, environmental science, environmental engineering, energy / carbon management or equivalent with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience
  • Holder of a valid Certificate of Registered Electrical Worker under the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department of HKSAR Government (Grade B or above a definite advantage)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, and able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua

    A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-

    term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
