The Division of Humanities (History Section) under the School of Humanities and Social Science of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology seeks to hire a post-
doctoral fellow for the upcoming 2018 / 2019 school year. This is a mixed teaching and research position. Teaching responsibilities include teaching of a course in at least one of the following historical fields : History of Science & Technology, and History of Modern Asia.
Applicants should have a PhD degree in a relevant field, be able to teach and communicate in English. Some teaching experience at the tertiary level is desirable.
Additional research interests in any of the following topics are preferred : environmental history, agricultural history, food studies, STS, history of medicine, East Asian studies, Global History, and International Relations.
Duration : 10 months, commencing September 2018)
