centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Head of Credit Control Services, Asia-

Pacific . Principal responsibilities

  • Ensure sustainable long term profitability of the business by ensuring that key Credit and Fraud policies are implemented during Account Origination and Customer Lifecycle Management through the effective running of the operations across the 15 ASP countries which RBWM has a presents
  • Ensure credit originations are in line with credit policy, while meeting customer turnaround time expectations
  • Ensure credit decisions during the customer life cycle in Overdraft Management or Credit Card Line Management are managed in line with Credit Policy
  • Ensure Fraud control and associated customer impact is managed in line with Fraud Policy
  • Ensure Credit Delinquency is managed through Collections in line with Collections Strategy and Policy
  • Ensure Credit Bureau relationships are managed to the Vendor Risk management principles and data is utilized effectively
  • Requirements

  • Demonstrated business knowledge, ideally experience of leading a complex business unit with accountability for a P&L
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk methodologies, technology development and infrastructure and how this can be used to meet business needs
  • Practical experience of major business transformation with some project management experience or exposure
  • To have held a senior leadership position, ideally within an operations environment
  • Ideally to have both front and back office experience within a global banking environment
  • Financial and accounting acumen
  • Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively
  • Experience of managing within a complex matrix environment
  • Experience working across cultures
  • Experience of managing and coordinating a geographically dispersed team
  • Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes
  • Understanding of Global RBWM Risk, its policies and governance mechanisms
  • Knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market
  • Knowledge of HOST functionally, operationally and financially
  • The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
