Country Manager

Global Banking & Markets Singapore Branch

Hang Seng's Global Banking business provides a broad spectrum of financing solutions to large corporations and financial institutions.

As a strategic financial partner to corporate customers, Hang Seng offers a comprehensive range of products and services including bilateral and syndication loans, project financing, property development financing, property investment loans, working capital financing, trade financing, cash management and treasury products.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Country Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • As the de facto Head of Hang Seng Bank, Singapore Branch, the job holder oversees the branch’s business, operations and activities;
  • Responsible for the implementation of the business strategy of the Branch in accordance with the prescribed policy of Hang Seng Bank Group;
  • Ensure the soundness and performance of the Singapore operations and its compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
  • Requirements

  • Solid experience in achieving the business targets and ensure the dealings of regulated products are in compliance with the prevailing regulations, codes and guidelines.
  • Keep acute sense of local regulatory development, to develop and implement procedures in order to comply with new compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skills on people management and leadership in order to gain the commitment and support from the subordinates.
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
