Your role As Claims Officer, your main responsibilities will involve :

  • Responsible for handling and monitoring the property and home insurance claims
  • Promptly handle claims including the third party liability of home claims; resolve all enquiries from both customer and external contacts to ensure delivery of a focussed claims service
  • Acquire and efficiently organise the relevant evidence and information to accurately assess the value of the claim and to recognise potential fraud / recovery indicators
  • Review, resolve and proactively finalise claims within authority limits ensuring settlement at an optimum level
  • Adhere to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the claim to ensure that we make decisions using the right standards
  • Your Skills and Experience As Claims Officer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include :

  • Preferably Bachelor degree with 2 - 4 years experience as a Property / Home Claims handler is preferred
  • Moderate technical claims handling knowledge within the designated line of business / claim type
  • Understand legislation and legal liability, industry standards and protocol
  • Recognise relevance of customer proposition and how to interpret specific handling requirements
  • Recognise the benefit of providing excellent customer service
  • Be able to articulate how to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Desire to learn and be flexible to business change
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less experience will be considered as Claims Assistant
