Leading retailer which plays a growing role in Asia

Our client is a leading retailer which plays a growing role in Asia. We are seeking a talented individual to join them as a Regional Finance & Reporting Manager to work closely with the cross growing function team.

In this position, the employee will act in primary finance support for the Hong Kong office.

The position reports to the CFO based in China plus Finance director based in Monaco. The Finance Manager must be able to successfully build relationships at all levels of the company.

For Local entity :

  • Manage and review the monthly closing including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts and explain any deviation with budget
  • Analyze the monthly figures (P&L and balance sheet)
  • Supervise the finance team
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly re-forecast
  • Coordinate, develop and write policies and procedures over the financial reporting process
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
  • Recommend improvement and conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Liaise with auditors for the annual audit
  • Correspond with various other departments
  • Improve bank relationship
  • Ensure compliance in local laws and regulations
  • For the Group Company :

  • Prepare the monthly Group reporting
  • Prepare the monthly Group cash flow and management report
  • Assist with the preparation of special projects
  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure accounting standard compliance
  • Profile of Financial and Reporting Manager

    7+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning is of most importance

    Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

    Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, in a diverse multi-national company; ability to mentor / train other members of the team.

    Demonstrated partnering, relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure

    Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with knowledge of financial systems and software with the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques

    Fluent in spoken and written English, Chinese and French languages are an advantage.

    Salary : Depending on profile
