The Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology is searching for tenure-track faculty member(s) at the Assistant Professor or higher level.
Outstanding candidates with research interests in single particle cryo-electron microscopy and / or cryo-tomography of cellular systems are encouraged to apply.
Candidates whose research programs complement or enhance strengths of the Division are particularly welcome. HKUST is committed to establishing a state-
of-the-art Cryo-EM facility. The successful candidate(s) is / are expected to help establish this facility and recruit a Cryo-
EM facility manager in addition to contribute to the research, teaching, and service missions of the Division of Life Science.
A Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral experience are required.
The Division of Life Science (life-sci.ust.hk) currently has 40 faculty members working in diverse research areas. The University has a vibrant research environment and is ranked as one of the top universities in Asia.
The medium of instruction and administration is English. The new Cryo-EM faculty will be provided with competitive start-up funding.
Starting salary (with full 12-month coverage) will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including medical and dental benefits, annual leave and housing (where applicable).
For most candidates, the initial appointment will a 3-year renewable contract. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of each contract.
