centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Customer Selection and Execution Manager .

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end to end oversight of operational effectiveness of Customer Selection and Exit Management process and procedures for Retail Banking and Wealth Management in their country
  • Endorses Country Customer Selection and Exit Management Procedures and ensures policies, procedures are locally fit for purpose, published and available to all team members, with their respective variance logs published on relevant intranet, portals for approval by Global Retail Banking and Wealth Management Head
  • Manage relationships with related stakeholders with a clear understanding that operational effectiveness requires consistent Cross Line of Business and Cross Border execution.
  • Oversees Quality Control and Quality Assurance results along with associated remediation
  • Ensures staff are sufficiently trained and capable of effectively delivering Customer Selection and Exit Management
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure all customers considered to potentially exceed HSBC financial crime risk appetite are identified and subject to further evaluation through a robust objective process
  • Ensures exit decisions are informed by good quality and pertinent information, and exit execution can be carried out comprehensively across the Group.
  • Ensures objective and informed decisions are taken by suitably qualified managers in accordance with HSBC financial crime risk appetite as to whether a customer should be retained or exited, and whether any additional risk management is appropriate.
  • Oversees management of resources to support initiatives, change programmes coordinated by Group and Region
  • Drive regulatory projects and Global Standard Customer Selection and Exit Management related initiative and identify improvement opportunity via automation
  • Requirements

  • Degree holder with extensive banking experience with proven track record
  • Practical knowledge of broad range of retail banking and wealth management products and services
  • Experience in people management
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues
  • Confidence to interact with the stakeholders within Head Office and the regional and local businesses
  • Possess the ability and drive to raise standards and make an impact on the business culture Ability to operate with clear vision under stress in crisis management situations and operate effectively against uncertain and on unfamiliar ground
  • Strong language, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
