As part of the COOA department, the will manage the purchase of the assigned categories and key priorities in Asia, to ensure that the needs of the business are met in terms of operational requirements, cost savings, risk mitigation and innovation.
The Regional Sourcing Department based in HK covers all of the following procurement categories, plus transversal projects
Real Estate :
Relocation projects (Real Estate Agents, Contractors, MEP, Furniture)
Facility Management : soft services maintenance
IT : Telecom
IT services providers and consulting
Non IT Services :
Marketing and communication
Professional services (training, legal, recruitment, temporary work)
The Sourcing Manager will be in charge of ensuring the respect of SG’s Sourcing processes and best practices as well as using SG’s sourcing tools (knowledge of Bravo’s eSourcing tool would be a plus).
The Sourcing Manager will contribute to the yearly savings targets, and will be in charge of maintaining a good relationship with the internal clients and business lines.
He / she will have a strong ethics, take a risk based approach in managing contracts.
The Sourcing Manager will work closely with the stakeholders across SG entities in Asia including local Heads and COOs, and will also have to work with the SG Group Sourcing Division members from the Head office in France.
Lead a standard Sourcing process on the assigned categories : from market research, understanding of the internal client’s and the business requirements, followed by RFP process and contract implementation
Achieve category cost improvement targets through price negotiations. This would require analysis of complex supplier proposals and use decision-
making tools and models, including financial and non-financial criteria, to facilitate award recommendations
Partner with key internal functions including IT, Legal, Compliance, Finance etc across Asia locations
Maintain effective commercial relationships with vendors focusing on cost savings
Collaborate with internal clients ensuring their satisfaction, whilst securing the sourcing processes
Ensure compliance with Group standards and maintain a culture and practice of highest ethical standards and behavior
Produce meaningful reporting to monitor the sourcing performance and to follow-up the project pipeline
Ensure appropriate collaboration with SG Group Sourcing division (in Paris) and cooperation within the international sourcing framework use of all SG Group Sourcing tools in line with the SG Group and Regional Sourcing Policy
Occasional travel may be required and other duties outside of the above may be requested on an ad-hoc basis
University Bachelor’s Degree and above
The candidate should ideally have
5+ years’ experience in Sourcing / Vendor Management and ideally from Banking industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English). Mandarin is a plus
Strategic sourcing vision
Strong knowledge in Asia market benchmark and local regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Operating knowledge of e-Sourcing tool would be a significant plus
Proven track records of negotiation (commercials and contract) on big tickets
Good coordination skills and project management
Knowledge and understanding of contracts and legal clauses
Be able to work under pressure plus self-starter
