HOST combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Technical Analyst .

Principal responsibilities

  • Ensure the right level of service is being delivered to the business services running on the platform, provides stand by support, as part of a rotational scheme within a team, to Data Centre Operations and, outside normal hours, manages, diagnoses and resolves problems which have the potential to cause major service disruption.
  • Manage improvement implementation on iSeries technical service and streamline existing process. Establish ambitious goals and improve overall quality of operations.
  • Drive collaboration and consistency across iSeries Domain.
  • Develop and maintain business partnership with key service providers.
  • Research and evaluate products in support of the technical strategy. This incorporates software and hardware evaluation together with the production of reasoned reports that can be used in support of business cases for senior management approval.
  • Undertake the technical coordination of projects instigated by or with other IT teams. This incorporates the approval of technical designs ensuring they are unambiguous, understood and conformant with prevailing local and Group standards.
  • To continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior.
  • Requirements

  • A good understanding of service management techniques, including change management, incident management, Data Centre Operations and configuration management.
  • A good understanding of IT Infrastructure Delivery strategy and capability to work as a team towards the direction.
  • Keen understanding of managing complex technology inventory.
  • A self motivated team player and ability on taking an analytical engineering led approach to technical problem solving, design and architecture, develops and exploits patterns across multiple situations or problems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a good command of English, both written and verbal
  • Ideally with experience on vendor relationship management
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight project schedules
  • Able to work occasionally during out of office hours including weekend
