The Division of Social Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications from accomplished scholars for a faculty position at the full Professor level in any of the disciplines represented in the Division, which include but are not limited to sociology, political science, economics and psychology.
The Division offers research postgraduate training programs for the PhD and MPhil degrees, and an MA program in Social Science.
The Division also offers an undergraduate major, Quantitative Social Analysis. Jointly with the Division of Humanities, the Division offers a multidisciplinary undergraduate major program, Global China Studies.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and complement the Division’s research strengths.
Competitive candidates should have a publication record with international impact, a strong grants record, proven teaching commitment and performance, experience and readiness in administrative matters, and demonstrated service to the academic community and / or the public.
Leadership qualities in research, teaching and / or service are expected. We especially welcome candidates from groups currently underrepresented among the senior faculty at the University.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits.
