Explore and identify new clientele, propose strategic directions and business plan for the R&D sector;
Execute plans for technological development and transfer in nanotechnology and advanced materials;
Define the technology & project development roadmap based on the proposed business plan & strategy.
Apply ITF funding and execute the projects to build-up a strong patent portfolio and develop technologies with competitive advantages for different product applications;
Collaborate with local and overseas experts and industrial partners to shorten time-to-market and to initiate projects for NAMI;
Build partnerships with industries, academia and the government;
Work with the Business Development team to promote, market and commercialize the technologies and products to be developed;
Lead the technical personnel of the R&D Centre;
Assist the Chief Executive Officer in his managerial responsibilities.
Degree holder or above, preferably PhD, in any relevant science and engineering disciplines, or equivalent qualifications;
At least 10 years of experience in senior technical management and business development in the areas of nanotechnology and advanced materials;
Demonstrate ability to initiate, implement and manage R&D programs;
Acumen for advances and trends in nanotechnology and advanced materials;
Awareness of the technical capacity and research strengths of local and regional industries and universities;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese & English, proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage;
Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided.
Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
