Project Manager, Product Development

Job Purpose

You will be responsible to ensure that all product development, revision and launch projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and to facilitate full realization of benefits defined in the business case or proposal.

This should be achieved by appropriate adherence to standard project management methodology : PRINCE2, PMP or best practices within the profession.

Accountabilities and Activities :

  • Drive the successful delivery of all product projects including new product development, product revisions and product launches
  • Ensure the benefits articulated in the business case are realised within outlined timescales.
  • Establish and manage effective and trusted relationships with internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved appropriately.
  • Lead project initiation and ensure robust and measurable business cases exist for each project, with clearly identified and traceable commercial outcomes at all times.
  • Create and manage optimised project plans, project initiation documents, budgets, critical success factors and key milestones for all projects and programmes.
  • Execute appropriate project governance and controls to ensure the project / programme is deliverable successfully.
  • Control and monitor the project performance / project KPIs to ensure efficient delivery, adhering to the business value case at all times.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies and manage change holistically.
  • Use judgement to determine when it is necessary to escalate through established escalation channels in a timely manner.
  • Capture lessons learned and ensure learning and best practices are shared across the organisation.
  • Ensure that projects / programmes are managed in accordance with agreed standards, methods and procedures (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, SDLC).
  • Follow governance and comply with regulations and requirements from the HK funding regulators, any applicable local regulatory requirements and Bupa internal policies
  • Manage and contribute to the content of key project and programme deliverables e.g. business cases, process documents, requirement specifications, involving business, IT and clinical colleagues as required.
  • Play a key role in ensuring robust and effective change management processes.
  • To be considered for the role, you should ideally have :

  • Educated to degree level, and / or recognized project management qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant business experience on project management
  • Strong communications, presentation and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • A thirst to understand the how and why
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
