The appointees will be responsible for material and technology platforms for detection / diagnosis of illness, food safety and general health monitoring of different bio-
markers including anti-bodies, proteins and small molecules. His / her core duties include :
Incubate new sensing technologies and relevant healthcare applications for detection platform;
Build clients' accounts and manage strategic partnership. Expand collaboration network with biotech and healthcare industries;
Responsible for project incubations, project proposals, project milestones and reports / presentations;
Supervise a team of high caliper technical staff;
Responsible for ad hoc tasks assigned by Director of R&D; and
Any other duties as required.
MPhil and / or PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry is required;
R&D, project management and supervisory experience in Biochip Design / Microfluidics and Microfluidic Devices Design / Reagent Kits Design (8+ years for PhD, 10+ years for MSc / MPhil;
less relevant experience will be considered as Project Leader);
Hands on experience in material selection for biochips / detection & diagnostics / biosensors;
Expert in biomaterials (polymers, ceramics and / or metals) and their properties, characterization and / or process development;
Solid experience in making functional prototypes;
Some experience in regulatory such as GMP, FDA guideline;
Positive, cheerful, creative, critical thinking and good troubleshooting skills;
Ability to initiate and work independently, yet able to lead a team of research staff;
Must have a sense of ownership for his / her work;
Good people and communication skills; and
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
